The Ring of Kerry is probably the most famous of drives in Ireland. With scenic views of Dingle and Kenmare Bays, the Atlantic Ocean, Mountain ranges of Slieve Mish and The Reeks Kerry’s highest mountains. This is a drive around the Iveragh Peninsula, which includes Kerry’s most spectacular diversity of sea and landscapes. Where the Light dances and plays with ocean views over the islands in the bay. Including; Portmagee, Kerry cliffs and Valentia Island.
The Dingle peninsula or An Corca Dhuihne in Irish. This drive includes Ocean views, Cliffs and Inch, a 4km.long sandy beach with dunes. We stop in Dingle town for some shopping and lunch. Sleahead Drive, ancient dwellings dated from early Christian times named Beehive huts, Ancient Cahers and views of Coominole cliffs and beach cove, the Blasket Islands and Skellig Micheal.
Ring of Beara – Beara is unique in that it has a micro-climate, with sub- tropical gardens in Dereen and Glengarriff. The Healy Pass offers tremendous wide views over the valleys of the Caha mountains, Bantry Bay and Hungry Hill , CastletownBere. Irelands, second largest fishing Harbour, with hand-carved tunnels on the way back to Kenmare with a stop at Molly Gallivans into Kenmare stone circle and the town of Kenmare, a paradise for shoppers and gastro-pub dining and boutique eateries. Return to Killarney through the National Park.
Ross Castle to Gap of Dunloe Boattrip.- Another service I offer is the drive to Ross Castle from where the boats leave for the Gap of Dunloe. The boatmen will bring you through the Meeting of the Waters, to Lord Brandon’s cottage where you can enjoy a light lunch. After lunch you can decide to take a pony-trap through the Gap of Dunloe, or hike your own way for approx. 8 km. To Kate Kearney’s cottage, where a pint of Guinness or an Irish coffee awaits you. Margot will pick you up from here and drive you to your accommodation. This day needs to be booked in advance so please contact me if you decide you want to do this day. You can pay the boatmen and pony trap people your selves or through the agent.
